Over the course of its two-decade existence, Lightning Bolt has revolutionized underground rock in immeasurable ways. The duo broke the barrier between stage and audience by setting themselves up on the floor in the midst of the crowd. Their momentous live performances and the mania they inspired paved the way for similar tactics used by Dan Deacon and literally hundreds of others. Similarly, the band's recordings have always been chaotic, roaring, blown out documents that sound like they could destroy even the toughest set of speakers.

Squeeze first formed in 1973, brought together by an ad in a sweetshop window. By 1977 they had made their recording debut and enjoyed a string of hits which lasted until 1982. The new line up has been unveiled which features the addition of bassist Yolanda Charles and Steve Smith on percussion, along with the long-standing lord of the keyboards, Stephen Large and bringing up the rear is drummer Simon Hanson. The band has long been a captivating live act, with The Guardian saying they “ down a storm… Squeeze’s success is a pretty infectious thing.”

The Colorado Walk & Roll to Cure FSHD is a life-changing event that unites families, friends, neighbors, and local businesses to forge powerful connections and strengthen our families and our community.

It all started here in Colorado when a group of FSH families came together in 2015 and created from scratch what is now the FSH Society's signature fundraising event expanding across the nation.

We are working together to make a difference for those living with FSH Muscular Dystrophy.

Find out how to create or join a team, donate, or sponsor this event at https://teamfshd.fshsociety.org/COWalkAndRoll.

The trail challenge takes place in the mountains, and runners can choose any of the following events: Heavy Half, Marathon or 50K.

Located in Eagle, Colorado, a flat, scenic, and fast course known as the Septemberfest 5K is also held in conjunction with this popular event. The Septemberfest 5K will have the same start and finish line as the mountain race, and this event proudly welcomes all ages and abilities including walkers, joggers, and runners.

The city's Septemberfest also occurs during this time, so while family and friends enjoy this event, runners can challenge themselves in the rugged mountain race.
After the competitors complete the race, they can finally relax and enjoy a hot meal and beer while listening to live music with family, friends, and other participants.

"It started as a twisted dream"... 30 years ago in a small town in New Jersey called Lodi. It was there in April of 1977, at the dawn of the punk movement, that the Misfits were born. Taking the title of Marilyn Monroe's last movie as their name in a move to immortalize her image - singer Glenn Danzig and bassist Jerry Only set out to make an impression. They wound up making history and creating a legacy that's power has not only stood the test of time, but also transcended into an entirely new generation.

The 10-time GRAMMY winner has blurred the distinction between pop music and fine art, goofing around barefoot in the world’s finest concert halls, exploring uncharted vocal territory, inspiring a whole new generation of a cappella singers, and the beatbox movement. McFerrin returns to Colorado, this time to perform with the award-winning Colorado Symphony Chorus for one night only!

Florida Georgia Line has skyrocketed since releasing consecutive, multi-week #1 smashes in the US and Canada with the GOLD-certified “Round Here,” PLATINUM-certified “Get Your Shine On” and 6X PLATINUM “Cruise.” Breaking the record for longest #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart, “Cruise” has sold over 6.3 million downloads in the US alone and is the second best-selling Country single ever, according to SoundScan. Yes, it's been 20 years since Incubus slowly but surely gained worldwide attention then adulation from the time they released their pivotal album "Make Yourself". They had a rather slow start, so to speak, up until "Make Yourself" exploded with the band's highest charting song "Drive", plus other smash hits like "Stellar", "Pardon Me", and many more. Since then, Incubus' albums and single gave them an avalanche of chart-toppers and best-sellers, as well as sold out shows and many parts of the globe. The momentum carried on with "Morning View (2001), A Crow Left of the Murder… (2004), "Light Grenades" which debuted at No. 1 in 2006, was followed by Incubus' first greatest hits album "Monuments and Melodies" in June 2009 and the band's 2011 album, "If Not Now, When?" All these gave them a whopping albums sales of over 19 million albums worldwide, and notable awards and recognitions which include Billboard's Modern Rock Single of the Year in 2001 for "Drive" a Grammy nomination for "Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical)" for the album Morning View.

Usually you’ll find Rick Steves touring the great destinations of Europe. Now you can join him on a different journey: A Symphonic Journey. Just as travel broadens one’s perspectives, so can music. In this hour-long concert special, Rick teams up with the Colorado Symphony on a musical tour that begins in the US, then touches down in seven different European countries as Rick paints the cultural context in words, with the orchestra performing stirring anthems — Strauss in Austria, Wagner in Germany, Smetana in the Czech Republic, Verdi in Italy, Elgar in England, Grieg in Norway, Berlioz in France — each accompanied by glorious video footage. While each piece celebrates a particular nationality, the finale, Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”, celebrates a continent whose motto is “united in diversity.”

Legendary rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd returns with a fiery slice of Southern style guitar rock heaven in Last of a Dyin’ Breed, their newest release on Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records due August 21, 2012.This is the kind of record guaranteed to feed the needs of the multi-generational Skynyrd Nation, and continue the renewed vigor the band exhibited with their last album, 2009’sGod & Guns. For the passionate, longtime fans of the band, this is Skynyrd at the top of their game, complete with instantly memorable songs, more hooks than a tackle box, and a blistering three-guitar attack at full power. From the raging guitars of the title track and the pounding, funky homage to local talent in “Home Grown” to the mind-blowing “Honey Hole,” Lynyrd Skynyrd sound like young bucks having one hell of a good time, which, regarding the latter, founding member Gary Rossington says is very much the case.

Brett Mitchell commemorates the opening of his third season as music director with a program worthy of celebration. To honor her 20th season as Concertmaster, Yumi Hwang-Williams showcases her exceptional lyricism and agility as featured soloist on Mendelssohn’s revered Violin Concerto. Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances — the composer’s last major orchestral work — serves as a fitting summation of his career, filled with autobiographical echoes audiences will recognize from many of his previous compositions. GRAMMY®-nominated composer Anna Clyne’s bright, optimistic Masquerade evokes the essence of celebration as it explores the courtship between music and dance — a fitting and fanciful frolic to usher in the Colorado Symphony’s Classics season.

We are excited to share the 5th Biennial of the Americas will be taking place September 24-28th, 2019. This year’s theme is Empathy in Action and will bring together people and ideas from North and South America. Empathy is a word often heard and when practiced, can be powerful. Research professor Brené Brown defines it as “communicating that incredibly healing message of, you’re not alone.” Over four days, we look forward to moving beyond divisions, both real and perceived, to discover and build upon what we share and to finding solutions that will benefit the North and South American continents and the world.

More detailed festival information to follow including performances & exhibitions, symposiums, international delegations, and more!

It all stems straight from the heart. Nashville-based songstress Lucie Silvas unapologetically personifies a spirit of freedom. Like a well-traveled rolling stone, her music threads together an Americana patchwork of retro-fitted pop and countrified rock, echoing sweet Motown soul, dripping dirty Delta blues, and reflecting Laurel Canyon bliss. However, her independence behind-the-scenes makes such sonic fearlessness possible in the first place.

Chaz Bear (formerly Bundick) was a musician from birth. Growing up, it was normal to hear music across genres, from Michael Jackson to Elvis Costello to The Specials, in the Bundick household. These influences were quite unique for a biracial kid growing up in South Carolina, contributing to the complexity of Chaz's self understanding and expression through his own music.

Most adults in their mid-twenties have grown up with the internet in some way; in dodie’s case she grew up in front of it. As a teenager living in Epping - a town in
Essex, dangling off the north-eastern end of London’s Central Line - dodie started up a YouTube account, and began releasing her own songs on the platform ever since.

In an effort to share the Grand Canyon’s uncharted glory and shed light on the myriad threats it faces, writer Kevin Fedarko and photographer/filmmaker Pete McBride set off on an audacious and demanding adventure this year: to transect the length of the canyon on foot. This trek is not the pair’s first adventure together, but it may be the toughest.
